We recommend that you take a systematic approach rather than a symptomatic approach to your health. Even when people pursue alternative methods, they still tend to look for a “magic bullet” solution for “one ailment”. The magic bullet approach to health is random and unrealistic. The Western medical model views the body as a machine – if a part wears out – replace it! People are not machines. We are complex energetic systems. Our physical body directly reflects our thinking, our emotions, our past, and our present circumstances. Health is the quality of the energy in all of your systems combined. A systematic approach to health is comprehensive. A systematic approach recognizes that you are a living, energetic system which is constantly changing. Therefore, you have to have a fluid approach to wellness – you may need to change your exercise, tweak your diet or adjust your supplements as you go. What worked for you this summer may not work for you during the winter. What worked for you ten years ago may not work at all now!
It is sad that billions of dollars have been poured into our current “health care” system, because you cannot buy health. You can’t get health from a doctor, from a store, or from anyone. Health is not a commodity. It does not come from a bottle of supplements or a surgeon’s scalpel. We can’t sell you health – we can’t even give it to you. But we can give you tools that you can use to create health. Health is more than the absence of disease. Health is a skill – it can be learned at any age. Health is not a “thing – it is a state of wholeness, a state of inner and outer harmony. Health is like a good meal – it requires lots of different ingredients, it takes time, and it thrives in the presence of good company. Everyone wants to be healthy and to maintain their health for as long as possible. You participate in creating your health. You discover what keeps you healthy and what doesn’t. Some of the key elements in a systematic approach to health are – cleansing, rejuvenation, nourishment, moderation, common sense, trial and error, understanding the laws of nature and listening to your body. With patience and a willingness to take responsibility for your health, you can create wellness! Health is the result of becoming self-aware – aware of what brings your unique system into balance and aware of what throws you off. You can “health yourself”! The prime of life is defined as the period or state of greatest perfection or vigor. We believe that we can all improve with age and that you can be “in your prime” at any age!
